Sarah Edwards (Ed') 01/02/1991-02/12/2012 Our beautiful Sarah, a loving and much loved daughter, sister and friend, died unexpectedly on 2nd December 2012 from cardiac failure following an acute asthma attack. This was triggered by walking in very cold air on the evening of 1st December, then entering a warm environment. She had suffered with asthma since the age of 3 but it was well managed so the tragedy was a complete shock to family and friends who all miss her so much. Sarah was on a placement year from Manchester Met Uni, working as a Trainee Manager with Marks & Spencer in the North West region. She loved the work, finding an inner confidence as she met new people and gained new skills. It is easy to get complacent and so important for asthma sufferers to realise the potential danger of inhaling cold air and to always take precautions at this time of year. We want to keep Sarah's memory alive and raise funds in her name, in the hope that other families will not have to suffer such a tragedy as us. To this end, family and friends have organised the various events shown in the journal.
